Not sure why, and can't get the volume back up. I opened media player and my music was way low. Opened other things and the volume was low there too.

I got the knob on the speaker all the way up now, and the volume control on the task bar is masked out. Tried rebooting the puter. The speaker wire hasn't come loose. Any ideas?

This is just a pos cheapie Dell. Not sure if there is somewhere else to check for volume settings (not sure why there would be).

Did you recently try installing a new music player or something?

Id just call dell, probably nothing more than a simple input problem one of their nerds could fix

  7. You might try under the start menu, all programs, accessories, entertainment, and volume control (?). The master volume settings in Windows should be there.

Well it looks like it was somehow related to opening up Real Player from the Titans site and messing with the volume. Doesn't seem right to me, but it somehow effected the volume of everything else.

Ha ha that happened to me a couple of years ago.

After listening to Titans Radio game on NFL's field pass I turned the volume down to zip before closing the program. Next day I booted up the PC & wtf I had no volume.

A lot of those 3rd party media programs automatically set up to become your 1st choice media player. They can affect settings you otherwise wouldn't go near on a day to day basis.

Had you mentioned you'd been listening to Real Player I could have help right away.

Yeah it took me a second to figure it out too. Although I coulda swore I had never had this problem before after watching those vids. Oh well you learn something knew everyday.
