    Outside of Mariota's health, all of our questions are on defense because our offense is going to be insane IF healthy this year.

    As long as another CB, like Sims, steps up then that will be a solid 3 CB set and we can live with that. Cyprien or Brown will have to help in the middle of our defense when it comes to taking on RB/TE in pass coverage, something we've been terrible against for years. Depth will also be something to watch as well, hope we pick up some vets that are cut during the preseason because I'm not sold on Dodd's ankle, I'm not a big fan of our starting ILBs (before even an injury), CB has already been noted, we have 1 true FS, and no one really interests me on the DL outside of Casey. As a group, healthy, it's a good core but we were really lucky with injuries this year and I just hope we are as well this year because if not, we'll be putting a lot of pressure on Mariota, just coming back from major surgery.

    Good lord this is such an antiquated notion. "Defense wins championships"? You can't actually believe that can you?

    I can tell you the 3 times in the last 25 years that defense has won a championship. The 2016 Broncos, the 2014 Seahawks and the 2001 Ravens.
    Every other Super Bowl was won by a powerful offense.

    The Patriot defenses never won any championships. Tom Brady, Gronk, Dion Branch, Wes Welker, Randy Moss, etc. ...THEY won championships. The Bellicheck mold has ALWAYS been to attack with numerous offensive weapons and put a serviceable defense on the field. Why do you think they happily got rid of two defensive stars during the season and then still won a shootout with the Falcons?

    Because offense wins championships. Ours is starting to look loaded.

    No, but he played in 2, as well as 15 total playoff games. And he was a huge part of the success of all of those teams, which is obviously the point he was making.
