I'm gonna enjoy the win and try to put the fact that the Titans defense is horrendous in the back of my mind.

Scheme wasn't the factor though, IMO. It was horrible play from Spoon and the DTs getting blown up most of the game. Babs sucked too until the final two plays of the game. Missed tackles all around today.

Did we watch the same game? Not that it was purely problems with the scheme, but we still give huge cushions in situations where tight coverage would work better, especially now that we've actually started blitzing!

Scheme is an issue along with personnel. No question our pass defense would be better if the front guys stopped the run worth a damn.

On the bills last series our pass defense looked great because we knew we could sit back and not worry about the run or a screen.

Ayers is an over rated player. Slow at times in coverage and not the physical run stopping SAM we need.

Why the rude "did we watch the game line"? Can't disagree without that?

How is Ayers in the least bit overrated? For the past few weeks people have been talking about his inconsistency.

Personnel is not nearly an issue as much as scheme.

    wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong.

Until Gray realizes that he cannot be in cover two zone for 80% of the game, it will be the scheme more than the players

I saw a ton of fundamental problems on defense. The players were not executing for most of the game. Tip of the hat for a couple of turnovers and the stop at the end.

No, I don't care for the huge CB cushions and the safeties playing 30 yards back but things like missed tackles, players not getting off blocks, confusion on assignments, etc. overshadow any faults of the scheme, IMO.

Any defensive scheme, no matter how bad, wouldn't be giving up 35 points a game if executed well.

I would say tackling problems for one or two players is a player issue, but not with the whole damn squad. That falls back on coaching, its been this way for a few weeks now too, its time to get it fixed.

We don't have any real pass rushers, that is a player issue, but we also rarely send more than four to fix that. The pass rush is split 50/50, and its only compounded by the fact we play so far off the receivers.
