We are NOT a very good team!

    Ever notice, when they start talking about us in a positive way, we show our true colors? "Best OL", "Improved D". "playoff contenders", "will win the division", etc. Friends, the fact is, we still suck, and once again, I'll go record and say that won't change until we build a top 5 defense. We are in trouble. Sure we will win 7-9 games but that still sucks! Want to get me excited about us? Start making a 12 win season a bad year.

    I still blame coaching. The defense needs to get better. But with the right coaching, a lot of flaws you are seeing on the field would be less evident IMO and the team would be better.

    I'm referencing his take that the team needs to be a top 5 defense to be good again. I don't necessarily believe that. Actually, I know I don't believe that.

    We did absolutely nothing in the off-season to overly change the defense so I always knew they’d be atrocious.

    Made some decent signings for WR but when you run a crappy run first scheme with an average QB it won’t matter at all

    Just go watch how other teams execute their play calls, watch how other RB's burst through holes with FIRE and actually look as if they know they can gain 7 to 10 yards on the play......

    Now watch the way we execute plays, watch the way our RB's SLOWLY take hand offs and meet the DL at the line of scrimmage. NO FIRE, NO MOTOR. Just straight SLOW MOTION movements. We don't know how to play football right now. At all.

    I don't know everything thing we need to be a good team, but at the very least we need a healthy Mariota and Lewan.
