Positive thoughts are fine, keep them up.

Terrible comparisons, and threads about them, you might want to stop.

    Jersey colors don't mean much.

i think Vince Young is going to be much better then Tom Brady, he migth not win as many rings, but Vince already dominates the game...

head coaching isnt a fair comparison, but you could still make the argument that Jeff Fisher will be a Hall of famer one day...

last year they went in with Corey Dillon and a rookie, Corey Dillon was questionable if he could still perform and play a hole season.. we are going into this season with Chris Brown and Lendale/Chris Henry

last season they had a bunch of nobody receivers, same with us this season.

only difference is they have a good defense, we dont....

it might sound crazy and stupid....but teams can win football games without paying everyone excessive amounts of money...

That last sentence, at least, is a perfectly reasonable point. You would have gotten much more agreement if that was the point you made in the first place.

Very few people are going to agree that Vince Young will be better than Tom Brady. Brady has managed to do amazing things, and be an amazing player. I think that Vince will be too, but I don't see any way to assume that Vince will outperform Tom. 4 Superbowl wins is a lot to ask after one season of not making the playoffs.

I would take Dillon and Maroney last season over our three RBs this season.

If head coaching isn't a fair comparison, and head coaching is such a HUGE part of the Pats success, then why are you even making this comparison???

Defense is another integral part of the Pats system. That alone should make it a terrible comparison.

ok maybe we arent that much like the pats, but at least we have the same concept going for us, if it worked for them, it could work for us.

What concept? Play good defense? Play good offense? Out coach the opponent?

What is stupid about this whole argument is we are nothing like the Patriots except maybe we play in the NFL, the AFC. They actually drafted a quality RB last year who is better than the two we drafted two straight years in the second round. They actually have studs on their defensive front. They also do spend money on FAs and literally broke the bank this year. In fact, their cheap attitude ended up catching up with them, cost them a SB appearence and this year they went out and got the best defensive player in FA, made a trade for the best WRs they could (Welker and Moss) and signed one of the best FA WRs on the market (Stallworth). Their team was good and got better. Our team is going the other way. Our GM is still looking for that Drew Bennett WR for the vet minimum (he said we need a vet WR still after drafting 3 and signing Gage - brilliant!).

Add in that Fisher couldn't out coach anybody and is not even close in his ability to think out of the box and there is no comparison.
