Washington/McNabb - wth?

McNabb was playing horribly and obviously is not in the Skins plans for next year.
They are officially out of the playoffs so the coaches are switching to pre-season mode for next year and wanting to see what else they have at QB. Grossman is also a FA at the end of the year so they are going to let him audition for a new contract. That is all there is to this whole thing.

 

shanahan embodies the modern coaching ignoramus. in all honesty, mcnabb isnt that great of a Qb. he peaked about 5 years ago. hes probably a notch above kerry collins in my book.

 

word in DC is that rex grossman has some embarassing pictures of kyle shannahan and papa shannahan is trying to save face by letting rex play.

 

The Shanahan Fisher comparison is a good one, except that Fisher has no ring. McNabb should be happy in a sense. The Redskins have as much talent as anyone, but like us they don't know how to get the most from their players, and as a result will always hover around 8-8 seasons. It's as much the lousy coaching as it is the culture. Being able to get out of Washington is something McNabb should be looking forward to. Yea Fisher makes nobodies into somebodies, but unless they come in as blank drones, Fisher can't coach them. Which is also what's wrong with Mike Shanahan. Sure he turns RB's from Cal Poly-tech community college into 1000-yard rushers, but nowadays hitting the 1000-yard mark is nothing. No legendary players and Shanahan is Jeff Fisher. Look what happen to Kevin Carter as a Titan. The best DE in the game at the time, but with us he was good for 2 weeks. We always thought the Titans didn't sign big names like the Redskins did because they didn't want to break the bank, but in reality it's because anyone worth a $h*t knows to stay away from Fisher. Players claim they're both great coach's, but who's saying that? Eddie George, who has happened to have only 2 coaches... There is a reason these two guys butt heads with their teams QB's, and it's not on the QB's. They've also killed their teams this season with the lack of a clue. Wake up you old fools.

 

you have to ask former players of shanahan. they all say that hes no fun to play for. shanahan is the guy who came up with the cardiovascular excuse to pull his qb.

 

Skins made the right move McNabb is done. he is going the way of Culpepper.

He is getting fatter,cant run like he use to and he makes bad decisions.
