Was Jeff Fisher really the problem?

So what you are saying is that because he didn't take a team with average talent and worked miracles he was a total waste of time?

Why be a titan fan then? Just be a bandwagon fan who sticks to whatever team is great at the time.

Harper starting for a whole season when he clearly was incapable of playing CB in the NFL was just the lastest in a Loooooooong string of coaching decisions that hurt the Titans

 

He did good with average/mediocre talent on the team.

Fisher evolved into a dinosaur.

His early tenure was passable but after his power struggle with Floyd Reese , the organisation gave him too much internal power and personally , I think he felt he had become impeachable.

Fisher had to contend with the VY mistake and I'm not sure what is so hard to comprehend. Fisher was winning games with McNair and it wasn't until a combination of age and salary CAP along with some stupid drafts tore the team down that the team entered into a funk. Just when we had a chance to draft a franchise QB (not to mention a shut down CB the year before) Buds forces VY on the team. Everyone should know the story. Pacman wins retard of the century and VY turns out to be a total waste of 5 years and a #3 pick in the draft. So the team basically gets little out of two top 10 picks. Fisher practically worked miracles in 2008 after his QB goes nutty (my God look at the WRs on that team).

I guess fans just don't realize how hard it is to win a SB in the NFL. And now it is practically impossible to do it without a franchise QB (oh sure someone will post how it was done 3 out of 20 years like that makes some point).

Munch isn't Jeff Fisher but if he goes out on the field to coach people will always think he is. What exactly is Munch supposed to do, wear a tutu or something to distinguish himself? Give the guy a chance. If Locker doesn't pan out Munch will not win a SB no matter how good of a coach he is unless we get lucky and finds L. Taylor and Reggie White like defenders in the UDFA pile or something.

By the way did anyone notice the defense and offense this season were nothing like those under Fisher? I know some are blind to that fact but the schemes are different. So how can people call Munch a Fisher clone? Did Fisher ever use a WCO? I think Munch has his own personality and for better or worse he isn't Fisher. Give him time to prove himself one way or another.

 

Fisher loved Pacman. Your point in how bad the WRs goes to poor team management. That's two full seasons after we spent a high pick on VY and we definitely didn't do him any favors in the WR department.

It does make a point. It's better to have an elite QB but you can certainly win a Superbowl without one.

This season without stupid VY/Fisher drama was already drastically better.
