yea Vince was neither of those
Wow dude, you've just gone from irrational to just plain ignorant. Jake Locker isn't a leader? Are you on meth?
After he left TN, he was the backup for phhilly.
4 TD, 9 INT in 6 games played. QB rating of 60.8. He has had 2, out of 6, seasons where his rating was 82, and then 98 (the season I wish Fisher would have used him more to pass... as well as the season I think Fisher really had it in for VY) The rest? 66.7, 71.1, 64.5, and 60.8.
That is not accurate. When people take a look at QBs when they come in, the first thing they will ask them to do is throw the ball. If they cant do it, they dont get hired. VY is unemployed.
Im not pleased with Lockers 77.0 rating right now, why on earth would I want someone worse than that on the team. (and has shown he was worse in 4 out of 6 seasons he has played)
By the way... leaders dont act like VY acted.
I seriously can't believe I even bother with TST at this point, or Vince Young, those two deserve each other.
TST, you should start following the CFL, cause Vince isn't coming back to the NFL.
aside from his rookie year he was very accurate. Miles ahead of Locker in that category. Locker is one of the most inaccurate QB's in the league right now.
And Vince wasn't a leader? How many game winning drives did he LEAD? How many times at the end of the 3rd quarter did he urge the team to run down to the opposite side of the field? Who else stood up to Fisher like Vince did after that Washington game?
Locker is way too timid to lead this team. He looks like a scared puppy out there too much. You can't tell me Titans players didn't trust Vince with the game on the line.
Why are you looking at QB rating instead of completion percentage when arguing accuracy?
VY can throw the ball to a moving target 40 yards away.Locker cannot. Decision making and protecting the ball that's a whole different debate that you could use QB rating,...
He may be, I haven't see it from him yet.
Leading and winning are not the same, but it would help if you turned a game on for once.
I've seen every game since 98...
leaders don't pee themselves in the redzone...Even if Locker is the best leader we've ever seen, which he isn't..He's still the most erratic passer I've ever watched. VY in 2011/2010 was insanely more valuable then Fisher led on.
VY moved the chains consistently. He didnt' pass for 300 very often, but he'd get the 3rd and 5 frequently and give the defense more rest.
Locker probably has more 3 and outs in 7 starts than VY did in all of 2010.
so what you are trying to say is VY broke 60% as a passer once while he was a starter?
