I agree with everything you posted apart from this. And i am probably the only one on this board that will tell you this with out batting an eye.

I would tell you bluntly that with this particular titans team, Vy is definitely in my top 9 QBs in the league this year! Yep after wiping the coke off your screen and keyboard, continue to read.

I will tell you this, the longhorns fans that infested this board early on in 2006 kind of turned me sour on VY making what seemed to be excuses left and right for him.

Now i wish to make an apology to them. They were right all along. VY whatever his faults may be, has been saddled with a completely stupid coach. (am i going to far with this fisher bashing?)

People, i know the talking heads on Tv have sold you a lie for a very long time. That only pure pocket passers can win superbowls. And thus your list contains mostly pure pocket passers. FOLKS THIS IS AN OUT AND OUT LIE!

Its more like all most NFL teams have been afflicted with coward unimaginative head coaches that only seek success by pounding the same old tired path. What really befuddles me is the fact that this method operandi has actually proven to be fatal to many in business, industry, politics or practically any venue that requires strategy. But when it comes to football for some reason people tend to become stupid and think that the only way to success is by practicing what every body else is practicing without considering the very simple and obvious fact that all the other 31 teams in the NFL are specifically formulating strategy to beat the proto typical pocket passer!..........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

all the other 31 teams in the NFL are specifically formulating strategy to beat the proto typical pocket passer!

Thats not a typo folks. I want you to think about how incredibly stupid it is for practically any team in the league to even waste a second of their time trying to develop a pocket passer. Let me give you an analogy. Imagine you are running for president of the USA. Your opponent is focusing on war, terrorism and foreign affairs, would you do the incredibly stupid thing and structure your campaign to focus on the same exact thing? Or would you focus on the small voter, local interest, domestic issues like the economy..(I only use this example because we have a good historical record to refer to.)

Lets use another example. Your are a car manufacturer, your largest competitors are raking in billions producing large, undependable gas guzzling behemoths that can barely stay out of the repair shop, would you be stupid enough to build the same car or would you go for the smaller, moderately priced, fuel efficient vehicle that is actually dependable and you can even afford to give your customers ridiculously long warranties because you are actually confident in your product staying on the road and out of the shop?

Pick any scenario you may want to, those who have dared to take the path less traveled have been the ones to succeed and leave the stuck in the box idiots always stuck in their ways (ala hand the ball off to the running back 30 times a game, keep the game close and kick the winning field goal with no time left bull sheet)

    Folks... please go to

(Dont have link to the matchup vs the niners because its messed up on NFL.com

In all those games the QB i say i would take in my top 9 averaged just over 150 yards passing. But guess what. They were all wins! And the running back he helped spring to life averaged 214 yards a game in that 4 game stretch.
In all these games, people who are paid millions of dollars to figure out a way to stop a Qb who hasnt stepped on the field in a meaningful game in one year failed miserably at their tasks. Two of these teams were actually coming off a by week..(may be three, because i think we played the niners too coming off a bye week). With all their scheming and planning some of them looked rather stupid attempting to stop the tandem of VY and CJ.. (in the game vs the Jags, Deione Sanders and Rich actually recommend to some of the dbs, attempting to run down CJ to just quit chasing him and get ready for the kick off return.. (this while CJ still has the ball around the opponents 30 yard line.)

NOw i dont know what further proof you need to tell you that not only pocket passers can win superbowls (outside forgetting that complete passing gimps in Trent Dilfer and Brad johnson have won it with out putting up even half the stats Manning has racked up) Without forgetting that the Miami dolphins who did the unthinkable actually had a very good season and almost made it the play offs, featuring a system the titans are better designed to play with vastly superior players to run it...Come on people ronnie brown and that o line compared to VY and CJ in the same back field with our o-line?

But folks, i will say this, you can have your Peyton manning, your mcnabb, Palmer, or even that titans personal tackling dummy eerrmm Schaub..(has this guy beaten Vy even once?) But i will take VY over all of them. All but one of them are sitting at home watching the play offs just like Vy. all of them had the fortune to to have a moron head coach sink the teams play off hopes by playing some old aZZ QB that lead them into an 0-6 start. (otherwise we would be looking at a QB who has lead his team to 2 play offs in the 3 seasons he played.)

All i need now is a coach with just about stupid enough to put in game tapes for those games and practice the same thing over and over until a team proves they can stop it! Apparently our current coach is so smart that he figured he should force Vy back into that pathetic doofus we saw throwing interception after interception in 2007.

CJ is the thoughest guy i have ever see for his size. He is different from geaorge because while eddie was torn. He was a pounding back. CJ cuts so quick and avoids big hits. A simple tackle does nothing compared to the constant helmet banging that eddie endured. If lendale was getting these types of carries then i would be concerned but CJ does a good job avoiding hits. If cj's career ended soon, it would def. be an internal injury. such as a tear.

finny hands down. the funnyist thing is that our all word rb resembles a cb more than much anything else on the field.

    finny -- 5-10 188lbs
    cj -- 5-11 200lbs

there close enough. and like i said finny over cj not by much.

people keep sayin he avoids the big hit. i dont see that, the guy runs so fast that even when ppl were just standing still in his way it can make out for a pretty big hit....or rather collisions.

This is magic. The same posters who praised Vince for "leading" the Titans to the playoffs in 2007 saying he 'just wins' are now BASHING another player for the EXACT same statistical exception.

    Sanchez 2009 = VY 2007.

Both are absolutely terrible and inherited an insanely good defense, running game, and one of the best offensive lines in the NFL. Put either on Oakland, St. Louis, or Detroit, and neither would win 5 games.

To say that either had any major part of their teams success is just being an uber fan of your guy or team and tossing the facts out the window. It's also not being a true fan of your team and ignoring the fact that if we had someone else under center to take advantage of all of our other pieces to this team, we may have at least 1 playoff win with him at this point.

Just ask the Vikings what it's like to finally accept that you don't have a QB capable of winning a Super Bowl. At least they made the decision to make a change. We're still stuck in no mans land with a guy that above average defenses absolutely salivate over.

In the physics of a collision, the faster object is less likely to be injured. it has more kinetic energy. Additionally, it is less likely to take direct contact. If Chris Johnson is standing still, then yes, he has less mass. But how often is that. He's more likely to be the object with more kinetic energy.
