Rivers and Brady dropped out due to injuries. Roethlisberger and Palmer both said no when invited due to injuries.

Schaub took Brady's spot, VY is taking Rivers making him the #7 choice. If Indy makes it to the Super Bowl, Manning can't play. Thus 8 of the 16 AFC QB's would be Pro Bowl possibilities. Pretty diluted, not much of an honor.

No chance Sanchez was in front of Vince. The guy had like 50 INTs. Can't see him going in front of any AFC QB other than Jamarcus Russell.

The Pro-Bowl is becoming a game full of average players. Why did they move it? At least in the past- the superbowl competing teams would field players.

That makes way too much sense. It's not like the players in the Super Bowl are any good.

I wanted to post in this thread to thank all the haters for making sure they got their 2 cents in instead of being thankful more than one player on our team made it

This would make a good thread on its own.

The 370+ carry milestone has wiped out a ton of careers including Eddie, Alexander, Larry Johnson and it seemed to impact Michael Turner this season.

CJ had 358. But he also caught a number of short passes.

and he's a lot smaller than the RBs stated. He takes a pounding. Watching his 2k vs the Seahawks play by play and the Rams game where he was mic'd up, I feel bad for the guy.

when its all said and done...people aren't going to look back at Vince Youngs career and say "he had X amount of pro bowls, but in two he was an alternate."

there going to say he had X amount of pro bowls. Period.

as non credible as the probowl is, there is still a type of merit in making it...

Helped get his team to the AFC championship game and Young did miss 6 games. A guy to miss 6 games and to make the pro bowl shows how far the pro bowl has fallen, having it before the Superbowl doesn't help, its just stupid.

    Two thoughts:

I agree with those worrying about CJs number of carries - last year should never be repeated in terms of # of carries. I don't want to see him end up like Earl - his career only lasting 8 years and his body being broken for life. I hope Fish has more sense, in that respect, than Bum had.

As to VY making the Pro Bowl - your placement on the Pro Bowl squad is a reward for a good season. It's hard to argue that a guy who played 10 games, had an .800 winning percentage and was a key contributor in turning his team's fortunes around after a disasterous start does not "deserve" and honor like the Pro Bowl. I'm happy for VY and for the Titans to have thier "come back" efforts ackknowledged.
