    Hi...

My nephew is a college student and needs to put virus protection on his PC. He asked for my advice. My problem is I use Mac so I don't mess with any Virus protectors. For you PC experts out there, which one would you suggest that is:

    1) Cheap...he is a college student. Free would be great.
    2) Easy...not a computer expert.
    3) Won't gunk up and slow his computer down.

Any suggestions would be great. I know there is more economical solutions out there other than Norton and McAfee.

Any all-in-one protection programs that will protect his email and sit on the computer like Norton does?

Avast! and AVG are pretty good and scan your emails as well.

Avast! is much more user friendly.

AVG Free. I 3rd the motion. Starkiller suggested it to me a few years ago and I use it on all my home machines. Small footprint and works as well as most $$$ packages.

Just google avg free to find it.
