I don't know, but I would bet Fisher, the other coaches, the players, and maybe even some head doctors tried to help him. I've seen his kind in the classroom dozens of times over. He is SLOW. When he is presented with some thinking task that is above his thinking level, he cannot deal with it. So he pretends he doesn't have to and then, when test time comes, he bombs of courses. Or, he tries but gets so frustrated that he just quits. Vince likely could not read the play book and likely his eyes glazed over when he watched film. He had to do NOTHING at Texas because every play was designed around his few talents. But Texas is not the pros. He got to the pros and he could not learn what he needed to learn. He got frustrated, he got depressed, and the rest is history. And unless he has had a major turn in smarts and attitude, his days in the NFL are done because no coach wants to deal with his negatives.

If we would have drafted Jay Cutler, we would have won the SB during the 08-09 season. And Cutler's not even that good, but VY makes him look like the second coming of Tom Brady.
