Here's the video of VY against the Chargers. Sorry for no audio. The game was blacked out in my area so I had to use another feed with delayed audio. Considering that VY played against the number 1 defense without his number one receiver, I think he played very well. Look at the 11 incompletions and show me the horrible passes and/or bad reads. There were a couple but not many. The 10 for 21 really doesn't tell the complete story.

2 or 3 drops, a couple of real bad throws, but still probably one of his best games of the year.

VY had a good game. That first deep incompletion to Britt could have been called illegal contact...it wasn't. Jared Cook also let a bomb bounce off of his chest that would have netted around 50 yards...I wasn't very happy to see that.

Couldn't ask for more from him.

I'm not sure how many passes from KFC were dropped or if there were any other than the CJ drop, but we had 6 total drops as a team.

That first throw was pretty ugly, should have been an INT ! Other than that most of the other throws were solid to excellent. That first throw to Cook was awesome and the one to Williams before he was even out of his break shows a huge amount of progress in Vince's ability to throw the ball more accurately. What I want to know is how in the hell does Gates get that minor holding call on Griffin, but yet Williams is mugged on that sideline throw and the toss into the end zone where the corner was crawling all over him and grabbed him as he went to break. That call on Griffin was simply a reputation call in favor of Gates and was the game changing call in my opinion !! Also, how in the F does Cook NOT catch that deep ball ???? HOW ????

Vince is NOT the problem with this team any longer, he's been more than steady, the Steeler's game not withstanding... It's our inept run game and our very dubious secondary... Without those two things righting themselves, we are going to struggle to get into the playoffs,, and we aren't going to go far if we do make them with those two issues being as problematic as they have been lately.

I actually think that 1st throw to Nate was really impressive. With all the talk about QBs leading receivers into hits across the middle, look where Vince placed that ball - just about perfect... when you've got a S coming in for the hit you put the ball low and a little short so you don't expose your receiver.

Now watch what Nate does. He takes one look at the S and pulls up, leaving the S to have a shot at an INT. If he had finished his route and gone down to get the ball it would have looked like a beautiful throw. Nate can't give up on a route like that.

Man watching that deep pass to Kenny really makes me angry. Illegal contact wasn't called. Anddd it was soooo close to a TD, GR!
