"Very tempermental" Chow pulls out of UCLA coaching race

    Notwithstanding that "Chow is known for being very tempermental and changing his mind on things," we learned a day and a have ago he had verballing committed to be the head coach of UCLA next season.

    However, today Chow publicly pulled his name out of the race . . . after UCLA's Chancellor wouldn't meet with him.

    Heard it just now on 104.5 The Zone as well.

    Usually, when a candidate withdraws their name, it's because that team is close to signing someone else. I suspect he knew he wasn't being strongly considered so bailed.
