Why not? The unquestioning public continually drinks up one bad superhero movie after another...
What I liked about Cloverfield was the suspense. They didn't give long previews, everyone thought it was a monster but didn't know for sure, and just how realistic it was with the camera. In Cloverfield 2 how do they repeat that? We already know it's a monster. What shocking scene will they have this time? I'll go see it but it's just a twist to bring in more money.
you know it's a ploy to get some easy money, but you'll see it anyway. way to give in.
