When defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch became a free agent after the 2009 season, he wanted to remain with the Titans.

Yet when organization wasn’t aggressive in re-signing him, Vanden Bosch knew it was time to move on. Lions Coach Jim Schwartz showed up at Vanden Bosch’s house the morning free agency began, and within 24 hours he was a Lion.

On Sunday, Vanden Bosch will return to LP Field for the first time since.

“It will be strange definitely,’’ Vanden Bosch said on Wednesday. “I was there five years (2005-09) and I don’t think I’ve ever been in the visitors’ locker room. So it will be different. There will be a lot of familiar faces there. But it will be important for me to make it a business trip. But it will be good. Nashville, it will still feel like home to me.’’

Vanden Bosch recorded 38.5 sacks in five seasons with the Titans. He recorded 12 sacks in his first two seasons with the Lions, and already has a sack this season.

He said he has no hard feelings toward the Titans for letting him go.

“All else equal I would’ve loved to have stayed in Nashville. I loved it,’’ Vanden Bosch said. “It was a great place to live and the fans were awesome I really like the organization. But there were no hard feelings when I left. I gave it my best for five years and went as hard as I could and they paid me well for those five years. When (my contract was up) I think both sides understood it was time for me to move on and it was time for them to move on and I honestly had no hard feelings about it.”

Good for him to get out while he could. He may have been the last Titan I've liked. There aren't any on the team now.

Titans gave him a chance when nobody else would. Titans made him rich. KVB went for the $s like they all do.

Him and a motivated fat Albert were quite the pair.

I'm not even sure we offered.

If team A offers X and team B(your current team) offers nothing, wouldnt you sign with team A?

We didn't keep him cause he fell off. He needed a change of scenery to bounce back.
