Just thought I'd post these for discussion:

    Marcus Howard 4.47
    Quentin Groves 4.52
    Cliff Avril 4.56
    Shawn Crable 4.62
    Vernon Gholston 4.64
    Chris Long 4.71
    Curtis Johnson 4.72
    Bruce Davis 4.72
    Curtis Gatewood 4.74
    Chris Ellis 4.76

Hmmm...Quentin Groves showed up to the combine with a big mouth. His projected 40 was 4.43. He could still be around when we pick, but 4.52 I think still leaves him at least in first round consideration.

Should be noted that some of these guys played OLB in college - Davis, Gatewood, Crable, for example.

Chris Longs' is the most impressive time of the bunch, considering his size and athletic ability, much like ACarriker last year.

cliff avril in the third would be a great pick if we don't go end in the first.

I'd be interested to see the 10 yard splits for these guys, because to me that's a lot more important than the 40, because how often is a dlineman going to run 40 yards in a game?

Yeah I saw that ouch.....still like his upside I'll be more interested in his Pro Day 40 and 10 yd.

Quentin Groves was impressive along with Gholston and Long.
