Michael Lombardi has mocked us Bruce Irvin at 20, what the hell? I don't know much about him, but from what I do know he's a hell of an athlete and and undersized pass rusher. Isn't he like one of the biggest risks in this draft? His character concerns are worse that Janoris Jenkins and this fool has us taking him at 20!!! I just don't get it at all, but oh well.
I was shocked when I saw this yesterday, Michael Lombardi lost his damn mind. I don't think Bruce Irvin has the instincts to warrant being a 1st round selection.
Agreed, not the greatest post by me I'll admit, lol. I was just wondering if any of you heard something I haven't. I really don't want us to draft him but sometimes where there's smoke there's fire.
Honestly the front office hasnt given us much this year. Last year many of us new it was going to be Jake Locker... this year ALL of us are like uhhhhh
Irvin is a pure pass rusher and very good. Might me a little high for him at 20, but the guy is a beast at getting to the QB. I followed him because UT was on his list out of JC. I would say his issue though is much like Upshaw's. Might be a little light at 245 to be a DE,...might be better suited as a rush LB in the 3-4. But make no mistake...the guy knows how to get to the ball and quick.
So he's more like Elvis Dumerville than anything else. He's a great pass rusher, but at 20 I think he's FAR too risky.
Probably because even the team doesn't know exactly who it will be or what position he plays. So hard to project beyond 10.
Much better than Dumerville, imo. He is still raw, but I think he will be a stud player in the NFL with a bit more weight on him. I agree I would be nervous at #20 to take him, but wouldn't mind moving up in the 2nd to get him. Kid has great potential...but then again, what do I know
