I apologize for the crappy cell phone pic, but I have this on the wall in my office. It's the SI cover and inside spread, signed by Kearse and McNair. I was able to get both of their sigs at the same time at the Titans Caravan in Knoxville.

My sister used to work at a frame shop and she had it framed up for me. The guy at the frame shop actually cut out the sword logo from the triple matting so it is kind of 3D.

At any rate, every day I sit down at my desk, look up at the wall and sing to myself, "Uh Oh! Superbowl!"

Time to look back at your 'member of the week' thread to try to get a hint on where you work and your office hours.

Speaking of office hours, its 8:08am where i am (kuwait) and office hours start at 7:30am. I was supposed to be on a 6:00am flight to Qatar this morning, but had to cancel my trip at the last minute due to instructions from the head office. So i walk in the office at 7:15 and my two most loyal employees don't show up until 7:50am each carrying a starbucks coffee and a McDonalds paper bag. WTF... they usually show up 10 minutes before work when they know i'm in the country. Now that they thought i wouldn't, they show up late. Hell, i opened a can of whoop *** on both of them, but now i'm looking into performing an investigation to see how often this occurs because for the last 2 months.. 1/2 of my week is spent in our new Qatar office (which i'm also running) and the other 1/2 in Kuwait, and something doesn't smell right. It doesn't appear like an isolated incident. I'm surprised none of the other employees said or hinted anything before if this is normal practice when i'm away. If it was only these two employees it wouldn't be so bad, but since nobody has said anything, they might all be in it together covering up for each other.

yawnn.. Not interesting.. i know. But annoying as hell! Had to share with someone and i sure as hell can't share with my bosses in Dubai. Last thing i need is for them to open an investigation on me.

edit: God.. i work so hard, and yet a couple of overpaid boozos force me in this awkward position. Plus i can't fire anyone. I mean I could but the hiring process is so long and tedious because I'm required to receive prior approval from HQ before hiring anybody new, and the last thing i need is for us to be understaffed for 6 weeks until we finally get replacements. We're understaffed as is it, and I have enough on my shoulders..

You mentioned that both employees are loyal and it seems like when you are there at least they work hard. Has there work slipped at all? Is there any other reason other then them coing in 10 minutes late to be upset?

Bigger picture to look at is are you going to find employee that work as well as they do? It is not something you cannot talk to them about but being 10 minutes late is hardly as bad as some employees can be.

Trust me ... I have had some doozies lately. One of the two people I have met from Tenn. and this does not speak for the state but ...

Was a Titan fan, seemed pretty smart, well he turned out smart enough to modify the formulas in my petty cash spread sheet to make it look like it balance all the while taking $20~40 in cash a day. I only review the file once a month at the close because he was in a postion that i needed to trust him ... and he was stealing.

next employee comes in to the same position and one of there duties is to do collection calls. Well she was a great employee until it came to collections. I actually had to call customers and appologize for her attitude and mouth. It almost cost us our largest customer.

yet another employee comes in... lies to us about a degree ... does not even know how to use excel (todays version of the adding machine to accountants). On top of that she screws up our electric account so bad we get shut down middle of the day on our bottling line. Had to pay a double shift to sit around doing nothing.

Trust me 10 minutes late for good employees is not as bad as it might sound.
