is there not a TV thread around here ? ...

i guess with the availability of streaming and such nowadays, TV viewing either live or delayed is becoming as easy as heading off to a theater

so , toss it out. .... any ol way you like
    here's what I got
I watch way more TruTV than I should
something about watching idiots run from cops never fails to entertain

recently, i've been trying to get into Life After People on History channel
How the Earth Was Made recently did the Hawaiin Islands, which was cool
Deadliest Catch, and a spin-off of it called Black Gold which is sadly no longer on. The Detonators might come in handy for some of you pyros.

Thursday night's about the only night i sit down and watch TV, but it usually catches all the networks, with heavy emphasis on CBS (Csi / Survivor ..... yeah, we watch survivor)
My name is Earl, The Office, Smoking Gun presents (Tru), 30 Rock all get a DVR hit
Friday used to be the Sci-Fi night with Stargate (either) and BSG .... which sadly both are now off :irked:
Saturday was (again sadly) HBO night (Deadwood) ... more :irked:

the tube is getting a little stagnant
I'm stuck on about 10 channels

    what are you watching ?

    Shows I don't miss:

    Lost
    The Office
    Dexter
    Breaking Bad
    It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia

Fringe is starting to move into that category. I like a lot of the stuff on The Discovery Channel too. If i'm not watching any of that though, I'm most likely watching ESPN or the NFL Network.

People talking about football that don't work for espn. Espn's NFL coverage is crap IMO.

I don't have TV service. Never really was a watcher, except for maybe one show every few years. The last one was BSG, and I watched half of it online.

Everything else is generally sports. I watch most series on DVD.

I have to confess to watching Survivor but otherwise there's not much that compels me to tune in.

I caught the first episode of HBO's Hard Knocks which the NFL Network started showing it last week. Nice to finally get to see it after hearing so much about it when it originally aired last year (it was never available up here until now).

I just started watching Demetri Martin's Important Things. I'd been meaning to watch this since it started but I have an amazingly hard time trying to get myself to remember to watch any new shows (despite my fondness for Sarah Silverman I can never remember to tune in her series).

I watch a ton of movies on TMC. What an awesome channel. I caught "The Outlaw Josie Wales" last night; Unedited, uninterrupted and in all it's violent, tobacco spittin glory. Three thumbs up!

If you get AMC, please...please...PLEASE check out the new season of BreakingBad. This show is absolutely superb in quality, from the writing, direction, and acting. Seriously, this is what I expect from HBO/Showtime, and IMO is better than a lot of what's on those premium channels.

Bryan Cranston (of Malcom in the Middle fame) is absolutely superb in this, and there is a reason he won an Emmy for Best Actor. I can't give this show enough accolades, so please find Season 1 and check it out.

What is that show many of you discussed a while back that was supposed to be so good? Seems like it was a cop show that has done better in DVD than it did while being aired.

I'm looking to snag a good DVD series and thought about picking it up.
