TV Show Thread

It's incredible. And I'm not one to overhype marvel TV Shows. DD was the only one I've really enjoyed til this.

It's one of those where I almost want to jump out of my seat in excitement in the last few episodes. Only GoT and BB have done that for me.

Hated Bernthal as Shane (but that's the point I guess)
But he is so good as Castle.
Only real crossover to anything else in Marvel TV/Movies is Karen Page.

DD season 1 was the best Marvel show to date imo (not having seen Punisher yet of course). Followed very closely by Jessica Jones. Then all the rest are distant 3rd/4th/5th/etc.

lol I loved Shane's character. I wish he were still around, or at least lasted longer. They could've done some cool stuff with him taking over leadership of the group when Rick turned into a massive p***y.

 

check it out and lemme know what u think. I found it pretty dang gripping after the first episode or 2.

I didn't know where they would have to go after DD season 2, they pretty much told his story there. But they did his solo series really well.

I watched 3 episodes and gave up. It is slooooooow. And the writing is bad. Not Iron Fist bad, but bad.

 

it picks up. I thought it was great.

I'm standing by that it's the best thing MCU TV has ever produced.

His sidekick is great, too. with the family drama. And the Homeland Agent-Modani does a good job, too.

Explores a lot more topics than a typical superhero show too.. military guys trying to transition to real life. Although It's unrealistic how Frank escapes a lot of the gunfights, it's very grounded.

Surprisingly my wife liked it too.

 

I'm four episodes in- which is the intrigue development stage- and I can see how that might seem kinda slow, but the slow burns are what makes the Netflix Marvel universe good (except of course Iron Fist. NOBODY likes Iron Fist). I'm mostly in it for the violent vengeance porn. I agree with all about Bernthal.

 

Wait, wut? I'm stone cold sober so I'm pretty sure you said s9mething like S5 of Arrow was as good as S1...
