He "resigned" today. I've heard rumors of Butch Davis from UNC and Mike Leach from TT to replace him.

If Butch Davis wouldn't go to Arkansas or Tennessee then there's no way in hell he goes to Auburn.

Auburn is way better than Arkansas and I doubt he'd go to Tennessee anyway.

Arkansas is his alma mater. If he turned down an his alma mater and a school with the spending power of Tennessee then he's obviously happy at UNC, happy in the ACC, and going to stay there.

Hopefully you reel in Leach. Set the school back a few years...

I like Leach also. I'm concerned over Paul Rhodes though. I really liked how he coached this year and hope he stays.

I'd say you get Leach long before you land Davis, no way he leaves what he's already started in North Carolina. At least Leach could truly bring you the spread offense, unlike Tony "buy my offense on tape" Franklin.

According to the paper, Leach and Texas Tech are in negotiations on an extension, so he may be out of play real soon. Why would Auburn hire Leach after firing a coach for running the spread anyway?

Probably because Leach could/can do it 100 times better ...

I just don't see Auburn as a spread type team.
