Tranformers Trailer - Spielberg and Bay

I have a REALLY hard time accepting that Dr Doom became a bad guy because he was jealous over a girlfriend.

On a related note, I watched "Superman Returns" last week...thought I'd give him another try. Again, I couldn't bring myself to care for him or sympathize with him. He's going to need a much greater character struggle than a simple love issue to make me be concerned for him. Sure, we all strike out sometimes, but damn...he's Superman. I mean, if Billy Joel can move on and marry a supermodel........

 

Superman Returns was a piece of crap.

 

Smallville IMO is better than any of the movies they've made.

Had they waited another series or so & ported Tom Welling & M Rosenbaum accross to a big budget movie they could have created something special.

Movie exec's are completely out of touch with the audiences they target.

 

Agreed, Childress. Watching Clark go through the everyday agonies of adolescence was engaging, and created the empathy that the Superman character has so desperately needed.

admit it: you thought it was funny when Clark first discovered his heat vision, and the circumstance that led to it.

I used to really enjoy Smallville, but it has dropped off a lot over the last 2 seasons. I think they are hitting a wall with just how far they can play out the young Clark Kent without screwing with the story of Superman. They have already mangled it a bit.

As for Fantastic Four, the first movie absolutely sucked. I can only hope the sequel is good. At least the trailer looks like it has hope...

I dropped off from the show the last 2-3 seasons, but I've heard I wasn't missing much, as it reportedly turned into soft porn eye candy.

That FF trailer looks nice. It also looks like it might be the whole movie.

 

Tough crowd. I give FF 10 out of 10.
