DRC would take no more than a 2nd, but we have no use for him. Even if Finnegan leaves, I wouldn't really want DRC.

If we are going to trade the #20 pick away it needs to be for a Game Changing DL

I was just using DRC as an example. Ideally if we were to trade our #20 pick I'd want it to be for a guy like Jared Allen. Not saying it happens but wondered what kind of player it could get us.

Definitely wouldn't get Jared Allen (I know that was just an example).

It's very hard to say. Not many guys worth a first round pick are ever put on the trading block. It's just not how business is usually done in the NFL.

I know it seems like a Madden fantasy move, I just wonder what some teams would be willing to give up for that pick.

Teams like Washington, Oakland, Seattle all seem like teams that we could sucker into paying up for the pick.

Trading down has to be the plan.

I worked out a while a go that we could get a high 2nd and 3rd picks for the 20th and also that the Eagles two mid second rounders are pretty much dead on the value of the 20th pick.

    Imagine
    Signing Mario 16m(6year/95m),
    Ross(CB) 3m(2 year/7m
    Landry(SS) 4m(3/13m)
Would still have a decent amount left for some in-house stuff and draft picks.

2a Jerell Worthy DT Michigan State
2b Kelechi Osemele RG Iowa State
    3a Tommy Streeter WR Miami
3b Micheal Brewster C Ohio State
    4. Sean Spence WLB Miami
    5. Janzen Jackson FS Tennesse
    6. Donte Paige-Moss DE/OLB UNC
    7. Geogre Bryan TE North Carolina State

holy crap i love that draft but LaRon Landry and Aaron Ross have injury concerns, and I think we should get a free agent OG or C like Nicks or Grubbs. Otherwise, those moves sound awesome

oakland might be willing to give up something since they have no first, second, or third rd pick this year

We could go get Osi from the Giants.

EDIT: Not trading our first though. Only way we trade our first is if we move down.

Thank God we don't know. I was getting tired of having blaring holes all over. Now this team is geared to win, so hopefully a tweak here and there will be enough to get us over the hump.
Before the rookie pay scale, it was almost a bad thing to own a top 10 pick because of the money you had to pay to an unproven player. So picking 10 spots later was desirable, since it was cheaper. 20th pick no longer holds much value so doubt we move out of that spot.
