I think Mett could be very successful with the right team.

If Carson Palmer goes down before the trade deadline, if I'm the Cardinals' GM I'm willing to pay a hefty price for Mett.

Its also very rare for a team to fix their QB problems by trading for another teams backup.

His value is what it is to another team. Not us. You are wrong.

Thats true .. when did I say otherwise?

Other teams do not put much value on Mett at all. That's my point ... They certainly aren't looking at him going "damn, I would give up a 1st round draft pick or probowl player for that guy"

What do teams normally give up for back up QBs?

2010 - CBJ traded to the Seahawks for a 3rd

1st, Take a look at our very own Charlie Whitehurst ...He was a 3rd round pick in 06 and had some solid preseasons. Even had the Cardinals and Seahawks trying to trade for him. In the end he fetched a 3rd round pick (also swapped 2nd round picks)

2009 - Matt Cassel traded to the Chief for a 2nd rd pick

This guy went 10-5 as a starter and had a QB rating of nearly 90 the year Tom Brady went down ... he had accomplished WAY more than Mett has ... he got a 2nd round pick

2007 - Matt Schaub traded to Hou for 2 2nd round picks

I would be ecstatic if we got that for Mett.

2001 - Matt Hasslebeck traded to the 'hawks for a 3rd round pick

Another good comparison is Matt Hasselbeck ... he was a 6th round pick by the Packers. They traded him for a 3rd round pick 2 years later. (also swapped 1sts)

Anyone that thinks we are getting a 1st or probowl player for Mett is out of there F'n minds

when? ... I listed all the trades for backup QBs (in the post above) for the past 15 years. Not one was for a 1st rounder or probowl player like you claim ... did I miss one?

Well the team did actually do better with Locker as the starting QB.

    upload_2015-8-26_16-9-23.png

Just looking at the offensive statistics, we averaged roughly the same number of pts per game with Locker and Mett (although it is still abysmal with both). But with Locker we averaged more 1st downs, more total yards per game, more passing yards per game (although it was close), more rushing yards per game, less turnovers, and more wins

If fact, Mett did not improve our team in any category compared to Locker.

CBJ was obviously the worst of the 3.
