A look at the Top 10 acquisitions for the Titans in free agency:

DE Kyle Vanden Bosch (2005) – Titans took a chance on a cheap free agent, and he paid off big time

LB Randall Godfrey (2000) – Was force in the middle of the defense for several years

C Kevin Mawae (2006) – Helped restore the locker room, and the line of scrimmage

RT Fred Miller (2000) – Was a five-year starter for the Titans after playing previously with the Rams

S Chris Hope (2006) – A durable starter who was a good locker room leader

DE Jason Babin (2010) – His stay in Tennessee was brief, but productive

QB Matt Hasselbeck (2011) – The veteran exceeded expectations in Year 1, and has been a mentor for Jake Locker throughout

FB Lorenzo Neal (1999) – Without Neal, the Music City Miracle might not have worked. He was a pretty good blocker, too

WR Nate Washington (2009) – His career has taken the next step in Tennessee after being a role player in Pittsburgh

G Jake Scott (2008) – Scott turned in several solid seasons after spending first part of career in Indianapolis

That list is... kind of sad.

Not as sad as our history of 3rd round picks however.
