Sure.... for a 5th rounder you got a deal. Maybe a 4th, depending who's on the board. But Asante is 31, terrible tackler, and his best years are behind him. However, for a 5th round pick he's worth the 2-3 years we'll get out of him.
Chances are he is going to be better than our 4th and above so i'd do it. But I wouldn't be surprised if we don't.
We won't but we should...based on our first four games alone.

RT @ProFootbalFocus: Asante Samuel may be a better CB than people realize. Was thrown at deep (20+) 12 times last year, allowed 1 catch.
IMO it's a win-win for both teams.
Eagles need the cap room and already have two very good CBs. We still have tons of cap room and could really use a corner.
There's no CB in this draft that we could get who would be better than Samuel in 2012, so for a 5th rounder I'd love to have him.
He'll learn quickly how to tackle in TN, otherwise he'll only play dime.
I'd do it for a 4th, and the promise that he will be willing to negotiate a new contract immediately that pays him what he is worth in modern day, not 2009.
Atleast go back to your old sig:sad2:
Everyone hates Manning again.
Griffin would love this guy.
