Yet we "missed out" on 2-3 of them this off season, and didn't do anything about it in the draft.

You said the magic word... pressure. We rarely get any because from what I've seen we usually rush 3 guys. 3 rushers vs. 5-6 blockers ... almost a dbl team for every guy. No pressure equals plenty of time to pick apart our secondary. What kind of defensive scheme is that? The best teams in the league get pressure on the QB.

    Yup yup.

Thing is as I said before, I've realized the fault is with Gray's scheme more then the line. His patented super soft coverage allows for the outlet (quick option) receiver to always be open. This leads to:
    1. Very high completion percentages for opposing QBs (check)
    2. Very low sack totals (check)
    3. Broken D-linemen spirits, hurts to get sooo close all the time with nothing to show for it (check)

And is that Peyton Manning's fault?

Mean ole Bud Adams, trying to go after the #1 Free Agent prospect and make this team an immediate contender. What a jerk. :sarcasm:

Amano didn't sign his contract last year. He signed it before the 2010 season.
But I agree with what you are saying. If we brought in a vet C to solidify that spot we could have used the money we are paying Hutchinson. Then Amano, Velasco and Harris could fight for the two open OG spots. Besides, it seems like OGs are easier to find than good Cs anyway.

Now the way it worked out might not have been all too bad anyway. Velasco has really settled down and appears to be playing pretty well at C. Maybe he is the long term solution there. The Titans can cut Amano next year if they want since they are 3 years into his 5 year deal. We have Harris becoming a FA so if we decide to go on without him Amano can compete for his spot. Either way, if Velasco can give us long term stability at C we can pay him and focus on bringing in some young guys to play OG.

Where was Mario on Sunday? Aparently the book on him is that he shows up about every 3-4 games and does well. If he is accross from a physical OT (Like Dave Stewart) then he will probably be invisible.

Mario Williams = Albert Haynesworth Pt. 2

Actually, Mario was never even close to as dominant a player as Albert before their big paydays though.

Thats not fair to Mario, he's trying. All Fat Al did after his time in TN was eat a pancake and crash a car/boat/anything that moves.
