He tested the market and got a rude awakening. Don't hold it against him. We can get him cheap.

He is a good change of pace back AND he has PROVEN GOOD HANDS!!!!!. He will be a great asset in the backfield considering what we have now. He is not a starting back.

Last time the Titans had a halfway decent O-line, Chris Brown had the highest rushing average of any starting RB in the league, averaged almost 100 yards per game, and led the league in rushing through the first six weeks of the season.

He also averaged 13+ yards per reception in 2005. He's excellent in pass protection, and he already knows the offense.

Brown may not be an ideal long-term solution, but I'd hardly call him a failure.

I'd think that the Bears and the Titans are the only teams that are considering him at this point. Tennessee should go ahead and get him. He'll be affordable and motivated. (I would think)... just so long as he doesn't go asking for a trade in preseason he'll help solidify our roster. Yes, I do agree it would be a hoot if he won the starting job outright... I still have plenty of reservations about his durability. Maybe our O-line is really good, I mean better than we even think. Maybe he'll run like wildfire if only given the chance.

If he goes down and is helped off the field, odds are I will be in attendance and anything short of a "Tommy Maddox" moment... I will boo. He had better not be injured else all of section #330 will be chanting "weak sauce, weak sauce..."

I hate to Harp on this point, but if Chris Brown comes back then Chris Henry goes to #3 on the depth chart if he plays special teams or #4 on the depth chart if he doesn't.

I hope that comment was meant as a joke. CB is actually terrible with the ball. 12 fumbles in 541 carries 1:45. To compare LT 25 fb 2050 cr 1:85.

Im not being an arse.. but if Brown is 100% healthy and gets put into a battle for the number 1 RB spot , I bet he'd win it...

Why do people think this is such a terrible idea? He is far from being a failure... its funny how everyone here is getting down on him, i mean obviously i have my feelings about his durability issues, but are you all really THAT condfident in Lendale and Chris Henry? Id feel better if he came back...
