Titans Waive Davis

    SUMMARY: The Tennessee Titans have waived injured WR Chris Davis. Davis had not practiced or played since suffering a hamstring injury early in training camp. He was charged with a DUI early Saturday morning in Nashville as the Titans were in Dallas to play the Cowboys in a preseason game. Davis' agent Dave Butz said his client "is disappointed the way things ended up" with the Titans. "If there's an opportunity for Chris to possibly end up back there in the future that's great," Butz said. "In the meantime, Chris is anxious to find a new team and hit the ground running and we've already heard from at least one team that's interested in working him out. So he is excited about a new opportunity."

    The timing kind of stinks.....

    The Titans release Davis on Monday morn. then Washington gets hurt in practice Monday afternoon. Have to wonder if Davis would still be around if Washington got hurt before they released Davis.
