As usual everyone is over-analyzing a pre-season game. Nutshell: CJ was flat. Kerry was ok. VY started slow but finished with a flourish. Paul Williams had the play of the game. C-Hen showed some improvement. Cook looks like he could be a first year contributor. Ditto for Ringer. The D was OK, but clearly not sharp. Special teams were meh except for the great trick play. And, oh yeah, the team had only been practicing slightly more than a week after a month long layoff. Truly expecting sharp from anyone tonight was silly. Best thing about this game is everyone had a chance to knock the rust off, get some game action and hit somebody NOT normally seen in their own locker room. I'll take it as a decent effort by all concerned.

The announcers were awful. They wore out the VY story to the point of feeling like Chinese Water Torture and frequently misstated, mis-characterized events to boot. Really made me miss John Madden. Sunday Night Football is off to a very underwhelming start. Good news for them -- they don't have to beat out anyone to avoid getting cut. LOL

If Mawae was in the huddle then maybe Vince would have more than 2 seconds to look for a reciever to throw the ball to. I saw vince working from his own endzone twice, and when he had good field position he made some throws and then got a touchdown off of a nice pump fake and throw.

Also the most blatant thing I noticed from the game was that none of our backup corners can tackle for their life.

Not going to take time to read through every single page, but this is what I took from the game...

    1. Titans' starters > Bills' starters by a LOOOONGSHOT
    2. Kerry looks great
    3. Nate looked good
    4. Trapasso is legit and we need to keep him
    5. Vince sucks
    6. Vince sucks

Oh, I almost forgot... Vince sucks.

It's gonna depend on this season but I can tell you who I DON'T like and that's McCoy (has there been a recent good Texas QB? Nope), Juice Williams (He could be a good wildcat option but not a starter), Grothe and especially Reesing are too short. I love Snead but Clausen is no chance. So far I have a favorable opinion of Clark, Robinson, Bradford, Hiller, and Snead but this season will determine a lot.

I was at the game and it's hard to analyze anything. I'm not worried about any player except Young. Young looked terrible and I REALLY thought in a prime time game against backups he could use the opportunity to shut some people up after his idiotic comments last week but nope. He hasn't looked like he's improved AT ALL over 4 years. And I'll be honest, Ramsey looked better. And let me say this, when your battling Patrick Ramsey for a #2 job, your done. I'm shocked he's still on the team. Young has UFL written all over him.

After the game I got to take a picture with T Rac and Donnie Nickey and shake hands with Washington. It was really fun if you've never been. You can get right up to the fence and the action is really close. Plus some of the players stick around afterwards to chat or whatever. Kinda like an NFL game with an arena football atmosphere.

Just curious, did NBC name a player of the game?

What would the Ravens offer us for Vince? You know that's where he'll end up anyway...

How in the blue hell can you look at Young's performance, look at Ramsey's performance, and somehow find them similar in some way?

Vince needs to start proving he's even worth being a QB period... whether that's a #2 or #3. He's already proven that he can't be a starter, so he's got to step it up otherwise he won't even be in the NFL next year.
