Any chance we resign Mahelona to the PS? That would also be an upgrade.

 

Aren't practice squad guys subject to being signed by other teams? I mean, if another team had the need, couldn't they just pluck Mahelona right off our PS?

 

I expect someone (Indy?) will claim Mahelona off waivers...

 

You can't sign someone off another teams PS, but in order to be placed on a PS there is a period after you are released that other teams have the right to make an offer. That's (one reason) why Fisher waited until the last minute to announce the 53 man roster - because he didn't want to give other teams lots of time to evaluate the players he cut but wanted to sign to the PS.

 

Any team can sign any player off of any team's practice squad.

But I don't believe that Mahelona is eligible to be on a PS.

 

Thats true as long as they put the player on their 53 man roster.

 

Comments to trade on ESPN state Fisher had charges against him for twisting his wife's arm around her back...hope this isn't a trend.
