Titans to Try Turf Parking Lot

    from today's Tennessean:

    After some initial skepticism, the Titans recently agreed to a Metro pilot project that would replace the asphalt in one of LP Field's parking lots with a turf-like surface and 60 to 75 shade trees.

    If it works to the Titans' liking and doesn't radically change fans' game-day experience, the NFL team will agree to a larger resurfacing and planting effort, which would cover about 30 percent of the parking spots around the stadium.

    that excerpt reads like some kind of joke.. you know... like the Titans will replace the current sod playing surface and elect to use corrugated cardboard because the team looks better on paper... something along those lines...

    I think it will be nice and eco friendly. The trees will house a lot of displaced squirrels and birds.

    From that image above, most of it appears to not be in a current parking lot. Just some of it is.

    And there are sidewalks between every row of trees? Besides a few birds and squirrels, what kind of wildlife lives in such an environment?
