Titans to make a run at Mario Williams?!?

I like it but this is why the Titans front office is dysfunctional. Bud wants Manning, Munch and Webster want Mario but don't want Manning............... sigh

 

There's only one dysfunctional element in play and it (he) lives in Houston. The front office is united. You just have to wonder how distracting it is for them to have to deal with Bud's crazy ideas. I know he's the owner and he's the boss, but they are clearly just going to have to ignore him.

What other GM in the NFL has to deal with his owner going to the media behind his back and talking about which players he wants to target? It's a messed up situation and it could end up hurting the Titans' leverage.

Bud needs to shut up.

Webster, Reinfeldt and Munchak seem like guys who are intelligent and diligent...they'll tactfully communicate to Bud that we are set at QB (more set than most in the league) and that we need D-line help.

 

We would be stepping forward in progress with this franchise if were able to sign Mario or Freeney (if he comes down on price). The whole peyton idea would just halt the defensive side on getting better for a year. Signing someone like Mario's caliber could be the push for us to make a playoff run. Anything can happen in playoffs.

Defense wins championships.

 

They will wait until tomorrow morning to see if Bud remembers anything he said yesterday.
