Guys the best way you are going to improve your defense is by giving your offense weapons to keep them off the field. Having a great rb covers up alot of team deficiencies and its not like the Titans oline can't run block. When you have no real threat of a running game and a qb that holds the ball expect a few sacks and a worn out D.

Honestly, IMO at this point of Mariota's development I think that it may be better if the cord was cut sooner rather than later. Mariota just turned 22, and is a sharp kid. We just need to keep him healthy for the rest of this season and start with a fresh slate next season.

But, this discussion is meaningless IMO....ownership is not paying attention so nothing is going to happen (not now, and more than likely not after the end of the season, unfortunately).

Agreed but the Titans were actually running better in this game, IMO. Andrews still only got 16 carries. With only six carries in the second half.

DMc had only three and averaged 5.0 ypc. He had only one carry the second half.

Once the Titans were down 17-6, Whiz pretty much abandoned the run after that Watt sack which put the Titans in 3rd-and-10. Mett then throws the pick which leads to the FG. 20-6.

I can't blame Whiz at that point when your team needs two scores in the final 12 minutes of the game and they'd only scored six the entire game.

Texans are terrible against the run and you guys definitely should have ran more before going down 2 scores. It'll be a different story in TN with Mariotta.

The problem is the Titans are stalling and settling for FGs when they have to be putting it into the endzone. Whiz continued to run the football even down 17-6.

I hope Mariota is healthy enough to play the Texans when they come to Nashville.

when the Wizinator yanked Andrews after his big run Mike Keith said 'Andrews is getting a blow'...

At that point he probably had been on the field for 30 snaps and was removed for one of the Wizinator's 'packages' not some sort of need for air.

IMO it is the Wizinators constant personnel shuffling that causes drives to bog down so frequently. I mean Andrews was running downhill with a purpose so bench him and insert personnel group Z or whatever... Its crazy cause Wizinator keeps on doing the same thing and apparently expects different results or else...
