And, for the record, this franchise hasn't been relevant the past 5 years. And the only year we were a legitimate contender, VY wasn't playing.

Hey Brah, did you know that counts for other quarterbacks too? Did you know all quarterbacks fumble and guess what, they are all in the same vincinity of number of fumbles and fumbles lost. If a defender gets around our blockers and they have frequently this past year, anyone is going to fumble. That is just the nature of the beast. Also, thank you for recognizing the lack of talent on that side of the ball. Its funny though on two things. If runningbacks make that much of a difference in the passing game and I believe they do, then you have to give Young a pass his sophmore season due to having lendale fulltime. Humor yourself and look up his ypc. Nevermind , I will tell you. 3.7, which is not explosive. Also, chris johnson's average for yards increased dramatically when vince came in. why? QB spying.....one less defender, better chance of breaking the big one.

p.s. The first time he brought the titans back from the dead, he did it without the only two playmakers you listed.

Vince Young alienated more people than just Jeff Fisher. Mike Reinfield and Steve Underwood convinced Adams to release him, not Jeff Fisher. If you think VY had the backing of the front office and was still exiled then you're crazy. Bud was looking for a reason to keep him and no one wanted to do it.

I heard in the press conference today that they will be bring in a vet and drafting a QB. Sounds official that Vince is gone.

I still have to believe that if the next coach wanted a shot with him then he will be here. It would not be prudent for anyone to say they are going to keep him when they are looking for a head coach. That would be the new coach's decision. In the press conference they also said they would look at bringing in a veteran so does that mean Kerry is history for sure? Don't know why you would bring in a vet and recruit a qb unless you are definitely dumping Kerry as well.

Yeah and they wanted to keep fisher. Fisher did his little dealings behind their back and now he is fired. Guess what, they f*ed up and they won't go into the specifics of it. Fisher wanted vince gone, plain and simple, but then he got caught with his hand in the cookie jar. You really think they are going to admit they were wrong?

Vince is pretty much a done deal, unless they cut him, then re-sign him. The money was a factor as well in the decision, I'm sure. If they wanted to keep him long term, they should cut him, then go re-sign him asap. He is not worth 13 million (if that's his salary this year) by anyone's standard.

But a new coach will probably want to connect his fortunes with a guy of his choosing, not a guy with a history of backlash against coaches.

    And this can be explained....how???

IMO, Fisher wanted an extension beyond 2011 (because he knew that he would fail to meet BA's expectations in 2011), BA wanted one year. That is called an impasse, which is likely where the issue that could not be resolved originated. Issue not resolved....Fisher out the door.

I do not buy into any of this "conspiracy theory" stuff...
