I think that avery is the superior player without question. He has 100 career catches in two years. I bet williams and hawk do not have that combined. Avery has elite speed, the others do not. Several friends of mine that are big ram fans, were pissed when they cut him. They said he had a nice preseason and camp. I went and checked the ram website and some are still complaining he was cut.

I will be shocked if Avery is not starting after the bye week or getting lots of reps. Williams and Hawk are pos. wr. Avery is a long ball man! Got to have a person to stretch the defense, and I think we have signed him. Williams and Hawk have a role on the team but I think avery will be the guy we throw it deep too!

Avery might not be as good as Kenny Britt but if he stays healthy i do think he will be a very reasonable replacement and catch a lot of balls this season.I do think Avery will be right up there on top of the depth chart along with Nate Washington before too long.

Interesting fact is Avery was one of the first receivers taken in '08 draft and the very next season in '09 Britt was one of the first receivers taken.

We might've gotten ourselves a very good player but what happens if he does really well this season because he is only signed for this year?

I'd love to see Avery resigned next year if he does well and also hope Britt makes it back and gets healthy.Next season there is a chance we could have Avery and Britt both and that would be great.

word around the rams boards is that Avery was released because he can't stay healthy, apparently he is made of glass. Not because he can't play anymore.

Through his first 12 NFL Games, he had 90 catches already. Not a bad stat at all.

After reading about this guy for a bit, I am glad we took this route. Looks like we got a young guy with lots of potential. Maybe we found ourselves a gem and all he needed was a fresh start.

maybe we've found another Sanders, all the potential but doesnt have the body to match his desire to play

    I hope you're right

I hope they have a few plays with Avery involved. I also hope they dont hold on our curent receivers as much as Matt thinks they will. Our remaining guys are not as physical as britt IMO.

Dude thank you. It's not even just that it's a deep class, WRs are a dime a dozen. That's what I was saying in the "Is Kenny Britt the best reciever" thread that was going on a while ago. You can't even really rank WRs today, because there's just too many good ones. Kinda like (almost) every team has a star running back, almost every team has a star reciever.

With all the b!+ching about the Oline we see on here I'd say that should get top priority.
