    Biggest Special teams contract in the NFL. Second "Special teams Ace" signed today. About time we addressed the third front. I like it.

    Per ESPN:

    As with Bates, there’s a reason the Raiders signed Trawick last season: to be a special-teams ace. And as with Bates, Trawick excelled at the role as a “high-energy” special-teamer. And who does not need a guy like that on their roster? Trawick played in 15 games in his first season in Oakland after three seasons with the Baltimore Ravens and he led the Raiders with 14 special-teams tackles, with 11 solo. Plus, with Nate Solder injured for the Raiders’ season finale at Denver, Trawick stood out when called upon to play strong safety, recording nine tackles, seven solo.

    If you search their names on twitter, Raiders fans are actually quite upset we poached both Bates & Trawick.

    We did give up a few too many big ST plays last year. I see why these signings are being made.

    Jon Robinson is all about addressing depth first and foremost. I mean, he spent 3 2nd round picks on getting depth instead of trying to get a starter.
