Don't try to pin ANYTHING on Gage.

If you've played backyard football you KNOW exactly what the DB is doing there. He knows exactly where your only option is... so he's baiting you. And Vince fell for it like a Pop-Warner QB.

 

Damn, the cornerback ran a better route than Gage, and VY should have seen that and tucked it and ran for the first down. Have to get better, and this is the time to do it.

 

Defensive pressure??!

I think so.

The defense looked solid. If the offense keeps mixing it up they're gonna be hard to stop.

 

DE's still are getting the pressure they need to. whats up with Jones? gotta collapse that oline.

I'll pin PART of the blame on Gage. He didn't finish his route and he let the DB fight through him. It's a timing route. You have to finish your route.

 

Also, funny how no one bit on that playaction pitch to Ringer. Had that been CJ, their whole Defense would have went the opposite way. Just goes to show you how valuable CJ is to the Offense.
