Is he great? No. Still doesn't change the fact that he is better than anyone we have.

Unless you want to put the season on the back of Locker, who has had four major injuries in 18 starts. Or if you want to draft a rookie in the middle of the draft and expect him to be our savior. We haven't drafted a good QB since McNair.

And don't you tell me that Cutler is as injury prone as Locker, because he isn't.

 

Getting someone who will lose as many games as he wins should not be the goal. Justifying signing Jay Cutler by saying, "well, he's better than Locker" is not a good reason, especially if Cutler gets the type of money I think he'll get. I can name 25 QBs who are better than Locker right now. Doesn't mean most of them are the answer at QB for us.

 

Right now, all we have to talk about is Cutler and Cousins. Pretty much a pick your poison type deal deal. I think the draft is the best option.

 

Cutler is most likely staying a bear... Thank god.

Yeah his YPC is clearly sooooo much better. CJ has the most TD's on this team besides a QB.

 

Well after thinking about it for a few days I think I'm more in favor of keeping Locker and drafting a QB in the mid rounds (please god Murray) rather than spending a lot of money on Cutler, trading for Cousins, or using a high pick on a QB.

It's really going to depend on what the new HC wants to do.

 

One of these guys is Jay Cutler. The other is Ryan Fitzpatrick.
