If Hassleback being gone is the difference between a Dumervil or starting caliber CB, awesome. Good guy, even better human being with a very high likeability factor, but he doesn't fit here any more.

He was also a classic Reinfeldt hire, not that I would hold that against Hassleback. But it is kind of cathartic to see one of the last remnants of that **** regime to leave finally.

really hate to see him go, but that 7.5 was obviously outrageous as pointed out, compared to other backups. I never knew he was getting that much. I agree he was a class act. Just never really got us over the hump. Did what we needed, started/ guided and backed up J.L. ..

Now it's time to see if the kid has what it takes. Hope we sign a decent backup quick, with the way Locker loves to scramble.

I rather have Fitzpatrick than Campbell but maybe Fitzy's price tag is high. I don't want Campbell but no vet QB is gonna help much this year anyway. It's all about Jake.

Guy was a class act, hope he lands somewhere and keeps money rolling in.

Okay just let me throw this out there, apparently Troy Smith has been looking really impressive lately at the Ohio St pro day and I think a couple private workouts. If Locker goes down for a significant time we're basically screwed anyway so why not a cheap player with some upside? I'm also all for getting someone more proven but...

I don't see a lot of cheap, proven, quality guys out there.

I am kinda happy hes gone. His short passing game was fairly good but when he dropped back to pass it deep I found myself holding my breath because one of three things were going to happen and two of them were bad.

he at his age is only good for a stretch like odonnell was. His arm is clearly gone and he was making way to much money. If we bring anyone in hope they are mobile and mirror locker's skill set. Not to fitz and hell no to campbell. We may need to consider drafting a qb if locker is not going to work out
