I wonder if there is a plan to bring in a different veteran CB to fill the experience void.

 

Team must be impressed by Sims and Reed. Guessing CB in the first round is a guarantee

 

I can see that too but wouldn't it also make sense to keep McCourty around as a veteran mentor type of that's the case?

 

Ryan could be that plus we have DL, roster spot might have been more valuable.

 

Also pretty sure his release frees up just over $7 million in cap space.

 

I would assume this indicates an early CB. I'm surprised though, I feel it kind of tips our hand for other GMs to have a more locked down idea of what JR may do in the draft. Unless another move is made.

 

This cements Latitmore at 5, or Conley/King/Humphrey/Awuzie at 18.
