So, we could probably re-sign him for depth, if necessary.

I think we already have enough Special Teamers.

He was cut pretty close to the draft. I'm sure teams wanted to see how things would shake out there first. He'll get signed to a one-year deal and probably start somewhere.

    Hope not

    He's only getting worse

Would rather a younger guy get the reps

Sure... unless there isn't a younger guy to fill the depth.

So... I guess people need to go back to school and relearn "if necessary"

I don't even think we'd have that option to bring him back after we hit the ground week-1

He'll sign on somewhere before then

If other teams viewed him as a starting caliber CB, he'd already be signed.

Not true. He may not like his options right now. It's not just the teams making this decision. The guys who are on the market right now are not getting long-term deals; they're getting one-year deals. He has the ability to tell, let's say Cleveland, that he wants to wait for an offer from, let's say, New England.

And there has been a lot going on for NFL front offices over the last two weeks: the draft, undrafted free agency, rookie mini camps, negotiating rookie deals. There is no urgency with the final wave of free agency at the moment.

He'll sign a one-year deal and compete for a starting spot.
