Hmm...I don't really like the sounds of this. Hopefully he's just trying to avoid making the injury any worse, as opposed to it being bad enough for him to be incapable of playing.

I think he just doesn't want to make it any worse, BUT I also think that while it's not that severe, it's probably just a skosh too bad for him to go and play effectively. He'll be just fine at the start of TC.

I dont blame him, the pro bowl game is just a beer fest for the fans. and a reunion for the players.

Sean Taylor was the only player i seen to take the pro bowl serious.

Johnson Unable to Play in Pro Bowl

SUMMARY: Titans RB Chris Johnson announced today that he will be unable to play in the NFL Pro Bowl on Feb 8. Johnson has been rehabbing an ankle injury he suffered in the first half of Tennessee’s Divisional playoff loss to Baltimore on Jan. 10, but said he’s not recovered enough to play effectively, so he decided to withdraw from the Pro Bowl. "I haven't been able to cut on it or do anything like that," Johnson said. "I really wanted to play, but I felt like I wouldn't be able to be myself over there."

Not a big deal no need to worsen the injury in a meaningless game, he'll be in many more pro bowls.
