Yesterday we beat the Steelers But yet people are still finding things to complain about. The biggest question seems to still be Jake Locker and his accuracy. But gauging Locker's abilities off the Pittsburgh tape isn't a good measuring stick. Last year when Robert Griffin faced the Pittsburgh defense for the first time he posted very similar stats to Lockers. In fact Jake did everything better than RG3 except throw for a score. Another guy Locker often gets compared to is Andy Dalton. Dalton a division rival to the Steelers and averages a measly 63 passer rating vs them (a team he studies extensively). So for Jake Locker to put up 125 yards and no turnovers is actually a pretty big deal for a young QB taking on the daunted Steelers defense for the first time. Below is a chart I made showing you a side by side comparison of the QB's we've had when taking on the Steelers recently. As you can see, our QB play this year really allowed for us to play team ball and pick up the win.
