Absolutely agree. PK actually had a pretty decent write up about that just before the draft: http://espn.go.com/blog/afcsouth/post/_/id/23382/numbers-review-titans-downfield-difficulty

I thought this was really interesting - I didn't realize we had such a huge discrepancy:

We need major help with our DB's. Even though Finnegan is good and Verner is on his way I still believe we need another starter. I would love to sign Joseph and have Verner in the nickel.

    Honestly, yes.

    Elite TE (Davis).
    Solid WR, with potential (Crabtree).
    Top 10 RB (Gore).
    All around decent OL.
Best LB in the league (Willis).
Underrated DL (Sopoaga, Franklin, Smith, and McDonald).
Recently added pass rushing specialist (Aldon Smith).

I also think Taylor Mays and Crabtree will have a breakout season this year. If the 49ers can land a decent QB in the FA, they could make a strong push for the playoffs. They're also in one of the worst divisions. They have a solid defense, and if you add NA to that D it's even better. If NA wants to stay in the bay area (for family reasons), but wants out of Oakland.. the 49ers are the answer. It's anyone game once you make the playoffs (look at the Packers last year, or the Seahawks beating the Saints).

Everybody said last year they would win their division too, but they, the Browns and the Lions continue to lose indiscriminately. People thought the Chargers would be great last year as well. Who knows what this year brings, though.

The most talented teams don't always win their division. The Packers were probably not the most talented team in the league last year, they didn't even have a reliable running back or their star TE.The Giants definitely were not the most talented the year they won it all, But it all came together for them. It takes more chemistry and luck than actual talent.

    True that.

I had the Titans and Vikings in the Super Bowl last year (FAIL)!

The Vikes and Chargers should have 2 or 3 Super Bowls each by now. They are the perfect examples of how the stars have to align to get there even (even though they align correctly for the Pats and Steelers all the time)

Last August I had us facing Green Bay in Dallas for the Super Bowl, obviously I predicted that only half right, but my point is, Green Bay was playing post season football in the first 2 quarters of their preseasons games. They were not a sleeper by any means in my eyes. Seattle, that's a real sleeper team.

So far this year i'm predicting...

Atlanta vs Ravens. But ALOT can still happen.

That's a good pick, but if I had to make my pick now I'd go Atlanta vs. San Diego.
