No... Santonio Holmes making one hell of a catch as he dove into the endzone.

That was their only lead of the game... 14-10. Hines Ward had a great day. Too bad the rest of the team sucks.

as long as "more aggressive" translates to "blitzes rookie QB's in the playoffs"

I see him making the D faster. I see him coming up with all kinds of different formations. I hate using them as the template, but if you look at Balti's D; even though they are a 3-4, they move around a LOT(before the snap) and give opposing Ds all sorts of different looks.
I see Cecil doing that, but with our 4-3 defense. I see a lot of stunts, a lot of mismatches and a lot of trickery and deception. With Al's departure, that's more or less what we will need to do anyway.

I'm not sure it makes much sense to expect big differences from Cecil in his rookie season as coach especially under Fisher. There might be a few things we see that are different but I doubt it. Mostly what we might see are the same formations but a little more blitzing.

Maybe after Cecil is a DC for a few years he might start to create his own style but it is a little of a stretch to even speculate on what that style might be. All this showing different formations, moving around at the snap or runnning some weird formations is more a fantasy than anything and I'm not really sure that is the best thing for us to do.

I think we should do some blitzing of our safties, MG33 and Hope are both good, why not blitz them?

Here's why it would make sense...Haynesworth's departure.
Teams are going to attempt to exploit the middle where Al was like crazy this year. Now if you admit that there will be a difference in the middle with Al's vacancy, then you should also concede that unless JJ, Brown, Marks and Haye (or is he a DE?) prevent even the smallest drop off in the middle gap protection, Cecil will either have to change it up a bit (by being deceptive, stealthy and speedy), or suffer perpetual middle gashing this season.

Do you not agree, or do you think we won't have ANY drop off from Al's departure? If you don't think there will be any drop off, then no we won't have to change anything up, but if you don't, that's a whole other argument in itself.

While I agree with you per se, we would have to have someone back there covering the secondary with Finny and Harper.
Don't get me wrong, I've seen Finn/Fuller/Griffin blitz before and they all get to the QB lightning quick, but we'd either have to run the nickel for that (so Fuller could remain in coverage), or drop Tully back into coverage.
