Titans Offseason Cuts

With NFL cuts starting to take place, who are some players that the Titans should cut or restructure their contract to keep them?

Who I think we should cut and how much we would save:

Hutch- 6,750,000
Amano- 6,000,000
Hawkins- 2,500,000
Otto- 2,000,000
Babs- 1,800,000
And restructure Hasselback down to around 3-4 mill per year

This would save us 19 millions dollars. That is enough to sign two major players (Levitre and top S or CB) These are moves we need to make escpecially Hutch and Amano. No reason to keep either. All others I am open to keeping if they take a pay cut.

Levitre should be off all our radars Bills are working on a deal with Byrd and will franchise tag Levitre.

I agree with your list 100%, and really hope that it comes true ... but that is the real question ...how much of that will really happen?

I just have a feeling they keep Hawk for some reason. I was hoping that Hutch would retire, cause I have a feeling we keep him, and I think that we keep Amano as well (Please God no)

I just think that our FO will draft 1 OL high (1st or 2nd), then roll with what we have.

Babs is a goner IMO though.

I think there's no doubt that Amano will be cut. We clearly have his replacement in Velasco. Hopefully our FO isn't stupid enough to keep him. Babs will be cut. Hawkins is a really good depth WR, but for 2.5 mil he's not. We should try to restructure with him or cut him. I think Hasselbeck already said he would restructure, so the FO would be stupid not to do so. IDK about Otto either, I don't agree with paying players that much money to ride the pine, but that's just me. Hutch needs to retire

The fact that there is even a debate on whether or not the Titans will cut Amano and his $6 million salary makes me a sad panda.

Yep... that's how you know you aren't a contender.

Any contender would take one look at Amano and have him executed.

The Hutch signing looks dumber and dumber.
