    Bottom line:
Uncle Floyd has done a horrendus job of drafting, and Fisher has worn out his stay here. Fisher is awful. I have been following this team since '78, ever since that collapse in Buffalo, the Titans NEVER NEVER put teams away. As soon as they get a nice lead, they play conservative and end up losing. That's 100% on Fisher, he's overated and has benefitted from good players that make him look good. Similar to Joe Torre with the Yankees. Don't let me get me started on the defensive coordinator. Time to clean house and start fresh.

Volek is worth more then a 6th especially to San Diego. I hope our FO is smart enough to realize that. If Rivers goes down the team has Charlie Whitehurst who has never taken an NFL snap. That team goes from playoff hopeful to top 10 draft pick with one guy going down. A 6th is insulting IMO. I realize we want something for Volek but a 170+ pick overall is not really worth much.

I agree with Riverman this situation is totally separate from the McNair thing.

    When has that ever happened?

I guess being the winningest team from 1999 - 2004 we won from comebacks?

Any one who thinks Volek is worth more than a 6th needs to take the blinders off. Im just glad we got something for him. A 6th for a UDFA not to bad.

Now maybe in the draft we can combine some pics and move back up in the early rounds and get some quality players instead of quanity this time. On another note who will we bring in for a 3rd QB?

How many games did they win by more than a few touchdowns within the last few years? My point was, they never keep piling on the points like some other teams do. I'm always on the edge of my seat hoping they will hold onto the lead and pull it out which they usually did in the beforementioned years. Wins by more than 3-7 points would've been nice though.

Not to long ago Volek was considered one of the top back-ups in the league. A 6th round pick is useless. A number 4 forMcNair is just as pathetic. That's Floyd working his magic as usual.

The point is..it catches up to you in the long run, with that mentality.

no, that's what the value is.

Would you prefer cut McNair and get nothing?

We need to ask ourselves what Volek is worth to us. We saw VY go down with an ankle and thankfully it wasn't serious but an NFL team can get to their 3rd QB in a hurry. Why trade Volek for a draft pick that is hardly better than an UDFA? If we can't get a 4th or at least a 5th why bother. VY is a rookie and KC could get hurt. That would leave us with a rookie and Mauck as our QBs. Avoiding that scenario is worth more than a lousy 6th to us and to SD.
