SUMMARY: Though the Tennessee Titans are far from set at wide receiver and a number of other positions, one area which appears to be solid is the offensive line. “You want to have some kind of consistency somewhere on your offense, and if it’s the offensive line, you’re that much better off for it, because you’re not trying to recreate that unity or create chemistry up front,” said C Kevin Mawae. “We have that. Now it’s just a matter of building off what we did last year. I think the team has confidence in us, because they know what we’re capable of.” His head coach agrees. “It has the potential to be one of the better ones we’ve had,” Titans coach Jeff Fisher said. “However, the ones we had in ’99 and 2000 were pretty solid, especially with Bruce and Brad and Jon [Runyan]. But this one has a chance to be very, very good. That’s one of the things obviously we have to build the offense around.”

What the OL did last year, we need the DL to do this year... we finally fielded a healthy OL, and had 2 promising young guys step up. Not to take anything away from T-Hen, but they made his job much easier, and they should be able to keep our running game near the top of the league again. If we can get KVB, Hayneswoth, Brown/Starks and Odom to do the same thing this year then the Titans should have a great base to build on for years to come. If you can win the battle on the lines, then 9 times out of 10 you are going to win the game.

That "Active Paper by Olive Software" is a bone-headed move by the City Paper.

I refuse to bother to read any article that is served by that software.

They would be better off never having gone down that road.

  6. Agreed, it's frustrating. I fail to see why they switched to that piece of crap...

By far the most solid unit on the team IMO. And that's important.
